Accessibility Statement

SchoolEd Media is an internal public-education monitoring tool. We are working to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and are publishing this statement as part of that ongoing work — partially conformant, not yet fully conformant.

What this means today

An accessibility audit (2026-08) found and we have fixed several Level A/AA issues: keyboard-reachable triage controls with visible status text (not colour alone), a working reflow at narrow viewports, page-language markup on Hindi content, accessible names on every filter control, live-region announcements for triage actions, and a keyboard-operable district × issue heatmap with visible values and a legend.

Known limitations, being worked on

• The four data-visualisation charts (volume/sentiment timeline, district and source bar charts) provide a text-summary alternative, not a full equivalent — a screen-reader user gets the same headline numbers a sighted user sees, not the same story-by-story detail available on hover.
• Touch and hover interaction on real mobile devices (not just a desktop-browser emulator) has not yet been confirmed — layout has been verified at narrow viewports, but real-device testing is still open.
• Some interactive elements are below the recommended 44×44px touch target size on small screens.

This statement reflects an internal audit against WCAG 2.1, not a third-party certification. We are not yet seeking STQC/GIGW certification while remediation is in progress.
